Social Media Marketing and Content Specialist

Position Summary

The Social Media Marketing and Content Specialist is a key member of ISEP’s Communications and Marketing team, supporting ISEP’s efforts to reach target audiences and stakeholders. The incumbent is an exceptional copy writer with a strong background in utilizing social media tools to accomplish strategic business objectives.

The Specialist is a strong collaborator, engaging in cross-departmental interaction with ISEP staff and serving as a resource for effective social media use within a business context. The position is not only a support role, but is charged with generating ideas and providing recommendations for new and innovative content to optimize ISEP’s marketing and communications efforts.

Principal Relationships

External: Member institutions, study abroad directory representatives, prospective university students, current ISEP students and alumni.

Internal: Marketing and Creative Director, Graphic Designer and Creative Specialist, Director of Communications and Strategic Partnerships, Assistant Vice President of Program Operations, Student Engagement Team, Member Relations Team, Technology Department, President’s Office.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Manage all ISEP social media platforms and campaigns to reach and grow target audiences, working across customer acquisition channels and managing an editorial calendar.
  • Regularly analyze metrics from social media campaigns and email marketing campaigns.
  • Make recommendations for content generation to Marketing and Creative Director and Director of Communications and Strategic Partnerships to meet strategic marketing and communications objectives.
  • Write compelling copy, headlines, banners, emails, posts and tweets. Copyedit print and digital pieces in AP style.
  • Manage ISEP Voices Blogger program and curate photos and Instagram account.
  • Assist Marketing and Creative Director in implementing advertising campaigns.
  • Provide support for ISEP events to promote brand awareness and consistency.

Required Qualifications

  • 3-4 years of work experience in social media strategy and analytics.
  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism, English, social media, public relations, communications, digital media, business, marketing or related field.
  • Experience publishing content and analyzing data utilizing a variety of content marketing software and social media tools.
  • Quantifiable experience in growing the audience of a blog and its corresponding social networks.
  • Strong proficiency in how to write in AP Style with exceptional copyediting skills.
  • International travel experience.
  • Video editing skills and graphic design skills a plus.
