- I enjoy learning about all of the new elements of social media, from Twitter and Skype to Seesmic and ooVoo. I like the fact that social media encompasses many different forms such as message boards, blogs, audio and video podcasts, photo sharing and beyond. This requires public relations professionals to be on the cutting edge. I know I have only tipped the large iceberg of the social media world.
In the summer, I will be interning with the Office of Alumni Affairs at Auburn University as its Digital Marketing Communications intern. I will be responsible for a multitude of projects with the Office of Alumni Affairs to increase its online presence with Auburn University Alumni. Some projects include editing and design updates to the Auburn Alumni website, market research and data reports, various site improvements, and posting photography and video to the site.
I will graduate from Auburn University on August 9, 2008. I am excited about the next venture in my life and am currently seeking prospective job opportunities in social media.
