- I enjoy learning about all of the new elements of social media, from Twitter and Skype to Seesmic and ooVoo. I like the fact that social media encompasses many different forms such as message boards, blogs, audio and video podcasts, photo sharing and beyond. This requires public relations professionals to be on the cutting edge. I know I have only tipped the large iceberg of the social media world.
This past summer, I will be interned with the Office of Alumni Affairs at Auburn University as its Digital Marketing Communications intern. I was be responsible for a multitude of projects with the Office of Alumni Affairs to increase its online presence with Auburn University Alumni. Some projects included editing and design updates to the Auburn Alumni website, market research and data reports, various site improvements, and posting photography and video to the site.
I graduated from Auburn University on August 9, 2008 and am currently residing in Cambridge, MA. I work in downtown Boston as the Social Media Coordinator at Schneider Associates.
